For the end of Mists of Pandaria the volume of game texts in World of Warcraft were more than 6 million words, and now even more. The greater part of these texts is in greeting phrases of traders, class teachers, flight stewards, friends who give you the tasks and other game characters.
Sometime in the past, seems it has happened with the beginning of WotLK, the greater part of these phrases can be automatically skipped by players’ requests, so now instead of waiting for additional click by Trader, show me your goods, they began to put their goods on the counter. It has been made for economy of precious time, because the traders began to give immediately what the players need, instead of talking.
However interesting phrases, funny expressions or the whole stories they know nowhere disappeared and still appear with each update, so the developers gave an opportunity to curious players to turn on these texts using a special command.
To turn on the dialogs enter in chat:
/run ForceGossip = function() return true end;
… to turn off:
/run ForceGossip = function() return false end;
